Dominant Device Identification in Multi-VSC Systems by Frequency-Domain Participation Factor

چکیده
With fast development of power electronic technology, the system is undergoing a great revolution to power-electronic-based one and it poses challenge dominant device identification for stability analysis. As an alternative approach, this paper proposes frequency-domain participation factor method based on open-loop transfer function matrix power imbalance model . It also clarifies relation between different (time-domain, closed-loop, open-loop) analytical methods, showing that they are all certain sensitivities against parameter disturbance elements. Furthermore, by using we study classical IEEE 10-generator-39-bus where synchronous generators completely replaced grid-following or grid-forming converters show can be improved modifying corresponding parameters identified dominating converter.

direct hydrocarbon identification by quality factor determination using energy density calculation in time-frequency domain
in exploration seismology quality factor is widely used as a seismic attribute to identify anomalies related to attenuation, especially those caused by hydrocarbon. previous studies have indicated that seismic energy loss known as attenuation is greater for high frequency components of seismic data compared to the low frequency components. here the continuous wavelet transform is used to study ...
متن کاملAnalysis of Lur'e dominant systems in the frequency domain
Frequency domain analysis of linear time-invariant (LTI) systems in feedback with static nonlinearities is a classical and fruitful topic of nonlinear systems theory. We generalize this approach beyond equilibrium stability analysis with the aim of characterizing feedback systems whose asymptotic behavior is low dimensional. We illustrate the theory with a generalization of the circle criterion...
متن کاملOn Frequency-Domain Identification of Linear Systems
The maximum-likelihood estimation of the parameters of linear systems and the properties of the estimator (Estimator for Linear Systems, ELiS) have been described in a paper by R. Pintelon and J. Schoukens (“Robust identification of transfer functions in sand z-domain,” IEEE TRANSACTIONS Aug. 1990). The mathematics used in the development of the method and the proofs are rather involved. Howeve...
متن کاملFast Frequency Response from Offshore Multi-terminal VSC-HVDC Schemes
This paper analyses the frequency support characteristics of multi-terminal VSC-HVDC (MTDC) schemes using the energy transferred from wind turbine rotating mass and other AC systems. An alternative coordinated control (ACC) scheme, which gives priority to a frequency versus active power droop fitted to onshore VSCs is proposed to: (i) transfer wind turbine recovery power to undisturbed AC grids...
متن کاملA frequency-domain approach to crosstalk identification in xDSL systems
Crosstalk between multiple services transmitting through the same telephone cable is the primary limitation to digital subscriber line services. From a spectrum management point of view, it is important to have an accurate map of all the services that generate crosstalk into a given pair. If crosstalk is measured via modem-based methods, i.e., while a digital subscriber line (DSL) system is run...
